Privacy Policy

This is how LeatherInspire handles your data. I've kept it short and plain. If anything is unclear, just write to me.

Who I am

LeatherInspire is run by me, Karol Woźniak, a private individual based in Poland (EU). I'm the controller of your personal data under the GDPR.

Contact for anything data-related: leather.insp@gmail.com

What I collect and why

Newsletter

When you sign up, I store your email address so I can send you the newsletter and the welcome emails.

Legal basis
Your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR)
Kept
Until you unsubscribe or ask me to delete it

Email opens and clicks

My email tool records whether an email was opened and which links were clicked. It tells me which stories people actually read.

Legal basis
My legitimate interest in improving the newsletter (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR)
Kept
As long as you are subscribed

The quiz

Your answers and score are calculated in your browser. They are not sent to me and not stored anywhere.

Server logs

Like every website, the server records technical data for each visit: IP address, browser type, time and the page requested. It keeps the site running and secure.

Legal basis
Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR)
Kept
For a limited period set by the hosting provider

Cookies and ad measurement (only if you accept)

If you click "Accept" in the cookie banner, the site loads the Meta Pixel and Google Analytics / Google Tag Manager. They help me see how many people from ads finish the quiz and sign up, so I don't waste money on ads that don't work.

If you click "Reject", none of them are loaded. You can change your choice at any time with "Cookie settings" at the bottom of the quiz.

Legal basis
Your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR)
Kept
According to Meta's and Google's own policies

Your cookie choice

Your choice from the banner is saved in your browser's local storage, so the banner doesn't pop up on every visit. This is strictly necessary and is not used for anything else.

Who else processes your data

I don't sell your data and I don't share your email with anyone except the email tool that sends the newsletter.

Transfers outside the EU

Google, Meta and Giphy may process data in the United States. Where they do, they rely on safeguards required by the GDPR, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or Standard Contractual Clauses.

Your rights

You can ask me to:

You can withdraw your consent at any time: every email has an unsubscribe link, and cookies can be changed under "Cookie settings". Withdrawing doesn't affect what happened before.

Just email leather.insp@gmail.com. I'll reply within a month at the latest.

You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority. In Poland it's the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (uodo.gov.pl), or you can contact the authority in your own country.

Children

LeatherInspire is not meant for anyone under 16. If you're under 16, please don't sign up.

Changes

If I change this policy, I'll update the date at the top. If the change matters for subscribers, I'll let you know by email.
